2010 Coaches Clinic

Coaches Clinic dates will be posted at a later date.

Are you a volunteer parent?
Are you a young coach?
Do you need drills?
Do you need ideas on how to select the offense your team needs?
Or what are your needs for your team?

We have a new coaches clinic series for coaches of all levels.
TVA Coaching Clinics:
Volleyball 101
Volleyball 201
Volleyball 301
Volleyball 401
(see below for a description of each level)

VB 101
This clinic is strictly teaching the fundamentals of passing, setting, serving and spiking. When attending this clinic we ask that coaches wear tennis shoes, as you will be on the floor learning certain movements.

VB 102
This is for the coach who is new to coaching volleyball, or just new to volleyball. Maybe you’re the one “voted” to coach your child’s team!  We can help.  This clinic will show you how to get your players into positions, rotate correctly, serve receive.  Please wear tennis shoes as you will be on the floor for part of the clinic to better understand how to teach this correctly.  Again...no sweating! Just learning.

VB 201
This clinic will show you how to understand and select an offense (4-2, I-4-2, 5-1, 6-2, or 5-2) that best fits your team. Drills for teaching an offense. Learning how to teach freeball transition to attack.

VB 202
This clinic will show you how to select a defense (rotation or perimeter).  Understand why you choose the defense your team needs and drills for teaching defensive transition to attack.

VB 301
Take your coaching and your team up a level or more with drills for taking your opponent “out of passing” in serve receive.  Getting your players to read the opponents serve receive patterns and knowing where the setter is and her options. And in return teaching your setter her options in directing a better offense.

VB 302
This clinic will challenge you to take your coaching to another level.  Taking current systems, and using strategy to beat your opponent.  Drills that will challenge your players to become competitive and teach you and your team how to “win” in tight situations.

VB 401
This clinic is about giving you drills and strategy to put your team in better decision making situations to help their performance in games.  We will also give you ideas and methods of how to challenge your team.
