Overview
Lesson Price Change
TVA will be raising the price of lessons effective Nov. 1, 2008, due to court rental increase that will begin Nov. 1, 2008. We will keep the increase to a minimum, as our goal is to continue to provide the best quality instruction at a reasonable price.
The court rental for TVA is increasing by 30%, yet our increase will be well below this percent. We understand the increase and realize the facility (The Courts) in which we rent space from must finish in the black at the end of the year. We can still meet our expenses (rental, taxes, coaches fees) and finish in the black as well. I hope you all understand, as we strive to give you the best volleyball lessons available.
Private
- Semi-Private (2-4 people)
- Group (5 or more)
- Team (Specified for team needs, can work on all team aspects)
We will conduct one hour lessons at a time that is convenient for you and your TVA coach. The lessons will vary in cost depending on the number of people in the lesson. Semi-private or small group lessons are best for instruction and learning purposes when all persons attending the lesson are being instructed on the same skill or skills.
To get the best quality lesson at the best price, working with 2, 3, or 4 athletes at one time can create the best learning environment. An athlete working on the more dynamic skills of hitting, digging, blocking, or jump serving cannot perform well after too many reps in a row. Their technique will break down causing errors, while the athletes try to correct the error they may change to incorrect techniques to get the result they want, when it is really fatigue that is causing the error – not technique or effort. So, working with others gives each person excellent quality reps, with just enough rest time to continue to perform the skills for the full hour lesson. So consider semi-private lessons for the best quality… and to save money.
