Passing/Defensive School

The purpose of Passing/Defensive School is to teach all players the proper mechanics for passing, serve receive, and defensive in volleyball. These schools are for the very beginner to the highly advanced competitive player.  We have trained numerous All-Americans from the beginning of their career. Players from the grades 3rd on up are encouraged to attend a hitter school.

Participants will be placed in groups of 4-8.  Groups will work on the level appropriate for their skill.  We will utilize video taping for higher level of learning and retention.  Players will work on platform passing, as well as, overhead passing and learn a variety of emergency moves for defense.

Hitting School

The purpose of Hitting School is to teach all players the proper footwork, arm swing and full approach to be the most powerful and effective hitter possible. These schools are for the very beginner to the highly advanced competitive player.  We have trained numerous All-Americans from the beginning of their career. Players from the grades 3rd on up are encouraged to attend a hitter school.

Participants will be placed in groups of 4-8.  Groups will work on the level appropriate for their skill.  We will utilize video taping for higher level of learning and retention along with our variety of hitting equipment to help with technique and vision.

Setting  School

Sept 11, 18, 25, Oct 2

7:30-8:30pm  Mon Nights

Schools are $65 each/school, a total of four 1 hr sessions over 4 weeks.  You may register for one school during the 1 hr time frame, as the schools run simultaneous.  But, you may register for more than one school per night.

Blocking School

The purpose of Blocking School is to teach all players the proper footwork, body positions and arm movement for both traditional and swing blocking. These schools are for the very beginner to the highly advanced competitive player.  We have trained numerous All-Americans from the beginning of their career. Players from the grades 6th on up are encouraged to attend a blocker school.

Participants will be placed in groups of 4-8.  Groups will work on the level appropriate for their skill.  We will utilize video taping for higher level of learning and retention along with our variety of blocking drills to help with technique, reading the hitter, and timing.

Setting School

The purpose of Setting School is to teach all players the proper hand positions, footwork, placement and tempo of setting from the very beginner to the highly advanced competitive player.  We have trained many All-Americans from the beginning of their career. Players from the grades 3rd on up are encouraged to attend a setter school.

Participants will be placed in groups of 4-8 according to their ability.  Groups will work on the level of setting appropriate for their skill.  Jump setting is introduced when the athlete is ready to advance.  Along with skill development we will work on decision making in competitive situations.

Serving School

The purpose of Serving School is to teach all players the proper technique of overhand serving.  In some cases we will start with underhand to work on hand/eye coordination for contacting the ball prior to starting overhand.  Players will work back from the net as they improve to help them master the technique at a faster rate.

Participants will be placed in groups of 4-8 according to their ability.  Each group will work on serving techniques relating to their level. We will work on the float serve, the power serve, the jump float and the jump serve.
